CPS Proudly Partners With Buckets Over Bullying For Championship Week To Educate On Stopping Cyber-Bullying
CHICAGO – (February 2, 2023) – The Chicago Public League (CPL) and Buckets Over Bullying, a non-profit hoops-centric initiative whose mission is to stop cyberbullying of children and teens through education,lawmaking, and legal action, are joining forces for the CPL High School Basketball Championships on February 11 at Credit Union1 Arena.
“We are proud to partner with Buckets Over Bullying in helping to bring visibility and awareness to the important issue of youth cyberbullying and the digital safety of our kids,” said David Rosengard, Executive Director of Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Sports Administration. “Our CPL basketball championships will be attended by many teens and parents who will hear first-hand why stopping cyberbullying in our community is essential.”
The full day of CPL championship games will begin at Noon on Saturday, February 11 (see schedule below). WCIU-TV (CW26) will carry regional coverage of the girls’ title game at 2 pm followed by the boys’ championship at 4 pm.
