OUR MISSION

Nate Bronstein, forever 15, died by suicide on January 13, 2022, after relentless and vicious cyberbullying by certain classmates and basketball teammates at the Latin School of Chicago. The school neglected to protect Nate and characterized the cyberbullying as just a “social media incident.”

We partnered with the Hoopbus to bring their mobile basketball court around the country, where we educate kids on the dangers of cyberbullying, encouraging them to pledge to never use their devices as a weapon.

Buckets Over Bullying partnered with the DePaul Blue Demons men's basketball team to raise awareness about the dangers of cyberbullying. Thousands of local Chicago-area schoolchildren were invited to special game where they learned how to fight back against cyberbullying with Tristan Jass.

At the 2025 AAU 3-on-3 Times Square Takeover, Tristan Jass helped generate widespread awareness for Buckets Over Bullying by performing a wild trick shot in the heart of New York City. We reached thousands of people at the national event and generated millions of views of our anti-cyberbullying message online.

A guerilla marketing campaign targeting the Latin School of Chicago with sidewalk stencils that shed light on the tragedy endured by Nate Bronstein and his family, imploring passersby to visit our site to learn more about cyberbullying.

As a sponsor of regional NEAAU tournaments throughout New England we spread awareness about the dangers of cyberbullying amongst student-athletes and educate them about the 3 simple steps they can take to help fight back against cyberbullying and #BlockTheBullies.
