HELP JOIN THE FIGHT

AGAINST CYBERBULLYING

OUR MISSION

Buckets Over Bullying is focused on preventing what happened to 15-year-old Nate Bronstein – and continues to happen to far too many tech-tied teens who face cyberbullying.

Nate Bronstein took his own life after he suffered relentless and vicious cyberbullying by basketball teammates and classmates at the Latin School of Chicago in December, 2021. Despite Nate filing a documented report to the school’s administration, nothing was done to stop the abuse.

EDUCATION

Buckets Over Bullying has partnered with
The Organization for Social Media Safety, the first consumer protection organization exclusively focused on social media, to connect parents and schools with education programs aimed to reduce cyberbullying harms. Alongside OFSMS, our goal is to stop cyberbullying in Illinois and beyond by building upstanding digital citizens and supporting legislation that holds bullies and schools accountable.

OUR WORK

Buckets Over Bullying is active in the community participating in rallies, walks and community events. We also strongly support legislative efforts that protect children from  cyberbullying and social media-related harms. We also work to support laws to hold schools accountable when bullying and cyberbullying occurs.
