Rose and Rob Bronstein sit down with Fox 32 Chicago to talk about empowering students and parents to take real action against cyberbullying.

Rose and Rob Bronstein’s son, Nate Bronstein was lost to suicide on January 13, 2022 after being relentlessly cyberbullied by certain basketball teammates and classmates at the Latin School of Chicago through a JV basketball group chat, Snapchat posts, and a separate Snapchat message cruelly directing Nate to go kill himself.

Despite Nate bravely reporting the abuse to the Dean of Students at the Latin School of Chicago the school failed to act and never notified Nate’s parents of his cyberbullying report as required by Illinois law.

In the wake of this devastating loss, Buckets Over Bullying, a nonprofit organization, was launched in October 2022 during National Bullying Prevention Month.

Today, the Bronsteins continue their fight for accountability—holding negligent schools, cyberbullies, irresponsible adults, and social media platforms responsible—so no other family has to suffer the heartbreaking loss and unimaginable pain they have endured.
